Feeding therapy at Voce is provided by a speech-language pathologist with advanced training and certifications in the Solid Starts PRO program and Supporting Oral Feeding in Fragile Infants (SOFFI) method.

Signs Your Child May Benefit From Feeding Therapy

  • Difficulty chewing 

  • Difficulty transitioning from bottle or breast to puree or solids

  • Frequent coughing during meals

  • Frequent gagging during meals 

  • Frequent spitting or vomiting 

  • Not growing or gaining weight

  • Refusing food or liquid

Goals of Feeding Therapy

  • Increase variety and volume of food intake

  • Encourage food play

  • Establish positive eating habits

  • Reduce anxiety and stress around mealtime

Additionally, in partnership with Gold Dust Lactation, monthly breastfeeding/chestfeeding support groups are offered in the Voce Speech Therapy clinic. These are free of charge, and occur on the first Friday of each month!
